Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Job Overview Providence Women’s and Children’s Services is seeking a full‑time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Physician Associate) who has completed a 12‑month Neonatal PA fellowship or residency program to join a well‑established team of practitioners in Portland, Oregon. In this role you will provide clinical management of high‑risk neonates and infants, patient education, and work collaboratively with medical, nursing and support services to provide high‑value, family‑centered care. You will also exercise autonomy of practice in ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests to drive the patient treatment plans. Responsibilities Provide clinical management of high‑risk neonates and infants in Level III and Level II NICUs at Providence St. Vincent and Providence Portland Medical Centers. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and develop patient treatment plans. Perform in‑patient duties including daily rounding, writing orders and progress notes, admission and discharge summaries, and attending high‑risk deliveries. Perform procedures as required and function as a primary provider for neonatal care. Collaborate with medical, nursing, and support services to deliver family‑centered care. Support birthing parents and babies throughout the Providence system. Self‑schedule shifts with advanced notice; work 12‑hour and 24‑hour shifts. Qualifications Full‑time, 1.0 FTE position. Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Physician Assistant (Physician Associate). Completed a 12‑month Neonatal PA fellowship or residency program. Ability to work in Level III and Level II NICU settings. Experience with high‑risk neonatal care and family‑centered practices.
