Design Engineer
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Salary: $65-75K plus 10% bonus
Job Responsibilities:
The Design Engineer will work with a team of engineers to create mechanical products and systems that meet customer needs.
Key Duties as Design Engineer:
- Lead engineering projects, analyze market trends, and oversee work progress.
- Research and test mechanical systems and products to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Design and test methods for product development and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure product quality through testing and analysis.
- Prepare reports and provide engineering support when needed.
- Maintain product database and stay updated on industry trends.
- Contribute to team efforts and achieve project goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 1-5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in heavy haul trailer or equipment engineering a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and design software systems required.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of cost accounting and lean enterprise principles.
- Ability to adapt to new tools and technologies quickly.
