Location Churchland Academy Elementary School Portsmouth VAPay: $16.00Hours: AM shift 6:00am-9am PM Shift 3:30pm-6pm Must work both shiftsLooking for experience that matters? AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment.As an AlphaBEST Group Leader, you'll help shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive.We're looking for someone who:Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environmentTakes child safety seriously and follows procedures closelyIs flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever neededIn this role, you will:Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)Make child safety the top priority at all timesKeep the space clean and organizedHelp create an environment where kids feel supported and includedBuild strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staffRequirements:High School diploma or equivalent requiredCPR and First Aid certification requiredAbility to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)Must have a high school diploma or GED,Must be at least 18 years old6 months experience instructing children in a group setting.Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
