Responsibilities
- Provide direct OB/GYN nursing care for patients in accordance with established standards and the nursing process, including data collection, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines, supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels, and delegate duties as appropriate.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team; deliver patient education and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Document care in EPIC, monitor patient progress, and maintain a safe, healing environment with attention to infection control and safety.
- Support Labor and Delivery recovery and cesarean birth events as needed; respond to emergencies and maintain readiness for obstetric/gynecologic care.
- Meet facility vaccination and safety policies and maintain professional standards in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Requirements
- Licensure: Current California RN license required
- Education: BSN preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (OB/GYN or related field)
- Certifications: BLS (CPR) required; AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS; ACLS; NRP required
- Special requirements: EPIC EMR experience required; ability to work night shift; capacity to work in Labor and Delivery recovery and cesarean birth scenarios as needed
- Additional: Vaccinations as required by facility policy; able to meet organization’s safety and confidentiality standards
