Job Description

The Railing Installer is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial and residential railing systems, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, glass, cable, and ornamental railings. Depending on experience and skill level, the installer may work under supervision, independently, or lead installation crews on complex projects. This position requires adherence to safety standards, quality workmanship, and the ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain railing systems according to project specifications and company standards.
• Measure, layout, and verify installation locations and field conditions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction documents.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize materials and equipment.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and perform field modifications as necessary.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable safety regulations, building codes, and quality requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, contractors, and customers.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced installers.
• Lead installation crews and coordinate project activities as assigned.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure project completion meets customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience level may range from entry-level to advanced, depending on position classification.
• Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of construction practices, installation techniques, and safety procedures.
• Must pass background check
• Pass Drug screen

• Installer III: Senior installer responsible for leading crews, coordinating complex installations, training team members, and ensuring safety and quality compliance.
