Plasma Center Nurse- RN

Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) – supports plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Physician. Works to ensure donor eligibility, safety and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, conduct medical history interview and physical exams. Perform blood testing, review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results, and notify donors of unsuitable results. Monitor and evaluate donor reactions, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, and coordinate with Center Physician's standing orders. Provide guidance on medical or technical issues to donors and staff, including unacceptable findings. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents, assess need for occupational health evaluation, and follow EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; graduate‑level recognized nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment: RN, NP, or PA. Current CPR and AED certification. State‑required basic IV therapy qualification. Complete FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $44.00 – $60.50. Compensation reflects qualifications, experience, and location and complies with state or local minimum wage requirements.
