Responsibilities Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act. Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet residents’ needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Receive, transcribe, and implement physicians’ orders. Implement and evaluate care plans. Identify and secure equipment supplies. Direct and supervise subordinates. Participate in duty assignments. Organize and coordinate subordinates’ job tasks and time allocations. Oversee and monitor the activities of subordinate staff. Evaluate staff performance and institute appropriate disciplinary or training actions. Monitor infection control compliance. Investigate and document accidents and incidents. LPN Requirements Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice. Previous skilled nursing experience. Solid understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
