Foreman – Water and Sewer – Red Bank Borough Department of Utilities seeks a full-time Foreman – Water and Sewer to support the management and supervision of the Borough’s water distribution and sewage collection systems. Reporting to the Superintendent, this position oversees maintenance, repair, and installation operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities Supervise staff, plan and direct work activities, provide training and evaluations, monitor operational standards Manage equipment and vehicle readiness, investigate and respond to service requests Prepare technical reports and compliance documentation Oversee pressure tests on water lines, inspect newly installed water and sewer lines for AWWA compliance Supervise fire hydrant repairs/installation, manage scheduling of water/sewer maintenance programs Qualifications Five years of relevant experience, including two years in a supervisory role Comprehensive knowledge of utility system operations and regulatory compliance Strong leadership skills Ability to work in a variety of extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time and respond seven days a week, 24 hours a day for system emergencies as needed Required Licenses and Certifications State of New Jersey T-2 Public Water Treatment System Operator’s License W-1 Public Water Distribution System Operator’s License C-1 Public Wastewater Collection System Operator’s License (or higher) issued by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsement (N Endorsement) Compensation The salary range for this position is $33.99 to $45.79 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
