Program Specialist

Program Specialist Duties

As a Program Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

Serve as administrative Point of Contact (POC) for the wage mariner's scheduling and coordination of required medical examinations across NOAA's fleet of research vessels as well as administrative POC for medical officer staffing rotations of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Fleet.
Coordinate travel arrangements, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and act as Marine Medicine ambassador for clients (mariners).
Provide administrative and technical support, generating reports and graphic data, applying basic knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of administration management to assist in project planning, financial management, and administrative operations in a medical setting.
Serve as Training Coordinator and POC for medical officers. Research training options to identify cost effective training methods.
