Pay Rate: Up to $73/hour W2 Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Manual QA Testers to support a large-scale State of Colorado Medicaid modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual software testing within Healthcare Payer, Medicaid, or Medicare systems, along with experience testing complex enterprise applications with multiple system integrations.

This role requires a detail-oriented tester who can execute comprehensive test strategies, validate business-critical functionality, and ensure high-quality software delivery throughout the SDLC.

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Tester or Quality Assurance Analyst

• 3 5+ years of hands-on testing experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications

• Experience testing Healthcare Payer, Medicaid, Medicare, or other healthcare systems

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Experience working in Agile, SAFe, and/or DevOps environments

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Candidates should have hands-on experience with:

• Manual functional testing

• Integration testing

• Web services/API testing

• Performance and load testing

• Disaster Recovery (DR) testing

• Security testing

• Service Virtualization

• Creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts

• Test data management and data obfuscation strategies

• Managing multiple software release cycles

• Supporting complex enterprise testing programs

• Test management strategies and best practices

• Test environments and test tool administration

• Continuous Integration (CI) concepts and tooling

• Healthcare Payer systems

• Medicaid and/or Medicare programs

• HIPAA regulations and compliance

• Software testing methodologies and QA best practices

• API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools

• Performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent

• Test management tools such as:

  • XRAY

  • Zephyr

  • TestRail

  • qTest

  • ALM

• Defect tracking tools including:

  • JIRA

  • Bugzilla

• Version control systems including Git or SVN

• Basic SQL for database validation

• Basic scripting knowledge (SQL, Python, or similar)

• Strong documentation and reporting skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

• Experience with Selenium, TestComplete, or other automation tools

• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Mobile application testing experience

• CI/CD pipeline experience

• ISTQB or other QA certifications

• Knowledge of accessibility testing

• Familiarity with security testing concepts

• Understanding of usability and User Experience (UX) testing

• Execute comprehensive manual testing across enterprise healthcare applications

• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts

• Validate integrations between multiple enterprise systems and third-party interfaces

• Perform API, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing support

• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution

• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and project teams

• Support multiple software releases while maintaining high quality standards

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities

• Ensure applications comply with Medicaid business requirements and HIPAA regulations

We're looking for a Manual QA professional who has worked on large-scale Medicaid or Healthcare Payer implementations and understands the complexity of integrated healthcare systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly collaborative, and experienced in delivering high-quality software across multiple release cycles.
