Job Description – Radiologic Technologist, Cath Lab (SAD007453) Title: Radiologic Technologist, Cath Lab Location: MemorialCare – Saddleback Hospital Department: Invasive Cardiology Status: Part Time Shift: Days (10hr) Pay Range: $52.00/hr – $76.00/hr Position Summary The Cardiovascular Special Procedures Technologist performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures for adult patients. This role supports Saddleback Medical Center as a STEMI, Stroke and Thrombectomy Capable Receiving Center and requires competencies in Invasive Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Peripheral Vascular, Neurovascular Interventions, and TAVR procedures. The technologist assists physicians by scrubbing, monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, and performs routine and delegated technical and clerical duties. Stand‑by call for STEMI and emergent Interventional Radiology procedures is required. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Consistently apply infection control policies and procedures. Meet population‑specific competencies. Competently perform special and diagnostic/therapeutic cardiovascular, neurovascular, and interventional radiology procedures per department protocols. Attend department‑specific education, training, and in‑services. Contribute input to improve department operations, equipment, and supply needs. Demonstrate a positive influence and recognize the efforts of others. Perform hemodynamic monitoring. Utilize effective critical‑thinking skills. Create a safe and effective working environment. Serve as a role model and mentor new staff members. Maintain patient privacy rights and confidentiality of sensitive materials. Provide good customer‑service skills by managing patient and family expectations. Show tact, sensitivity, and discretion. Integrate job‑specific competency knowledge. Be present at work and on time. Qualifications / Work Experience One year of experience in Special Procedures, Cath Lab, Vascular Lab, or EP Lab preferred. In lieu of this experience, an employee with strong education and at least one year of radiologic experience will be considered. Completion of a Dysrhythmia or EKG class required within the first year. Hemodynamic monitoring experience preferred. Computer, internet, order entry, and word‑processing experience preferred. Education / Licensure / Certification Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) licensure required. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS‑C) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within the first year. ARRT certification required. RCIS preferred.
