The facility is widely regarded for its innovative approach to health equity, value-based care, and graduate medical education, offering physicians a collaborative and mission-driven environment alongside a robust interdisciplinary care team.\n\nOpportunity:\n\nBoard Certified - Internal Medicine\n\nJob Details:\n\n\n Serve as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track within an innovative Value-Based Care Clinic\n Supervise and mentor Internal Medicine residents in a clinic-based experiential learning environment\n Provide real-time clinical teaching in primary care, population health, value-based care, and health equity-focused practice\n Teach residents to integrate social determinants of health, community-engaged care approaches, and equity-centered clinical decision making\n Participate in journal clubs, lecture series, case conferences, and resident workshops\n Mentor residents in quality improvement initiatives, health equity research, and scholarly activities\n Collaborate with residency and program leadership to develop and improve curriculum aligned with ACGME competencies\n Provide formative and summative feedback to residents to support professional growth\n Deliver comprehensive Internal Medicine care utilizing evidence-based guidelines and value-based care principles\n Help establish and refine value-based standard practices for the clinic\n Utilize population health tools, risk stratification, and care coordination strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare disparities\n Identify and address non-medical drivers of health impacting patient care\n Deliver coordinated, team-based care alongside care managers, pharmacists, social workers, behavioral health specialists, and community partners\n Maintain current expertise in Internal Medicine, health equity science, and value-based care frameworks\n Integrate evidence-based medicine into both patient care and teaching\n Participate in quality improvement projects and mentor residents in QI methodology\n Support operational plans, coordinated care delivery, and improvements to clinical processes and operating standards\n Demonstrate advanced communication, leadership, innovation, and problem-solving skills in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment\n Texas Medical License required (or willingness to obtain)\n Completion of ACGME or AMA approved residency required\n Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred\n Experience in medical education, health equity, population health, or value-based care highly preferred\n\nCompensation:\n\nEmployed salary with benefits.
