Front Desk Representative

Position Overview Gastro Health is seeking a Full‑Time Front Desk Representative to join our team! Gastro Health is a great place to work and advance in your career. Utilize practice management system to create provider records, scan medical records & documents including active medical insurance cards, driver’s license, or equivalent ID, and maintain insurance information. Verify registration forms are complete and obtain referring physician and primary physician information. Ensure the patient has a current referral on the date of service; obtain a referral if necessary. Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to office visits and procedures. Collect all applicable co‑payment, coinsurance, deductible, or outstanding balances from the patient and post all payments collected. Ensure the time‑of‑service batch is balanced and closed daily. Research and assist patients with questions regarding balances, including collecting applicable payments. Maintain cleanliness and neatness of lobby/reception area, including stocking of business cards. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Diploma or equivalent required. College degree, certification, or license desirable. 2+ years’ experience in medical practice or a similar setting.
