Staff Accountant

Location: Crystal Lake, IL Type: Full-Time Compensation: Commensurate with experience Summary: The Staff Accountant delivers accounting and financial reporting services, prepares individual, fiduciary, and business tax returns, and supports client relationships and firm growth. This full-time role offers diverse experience and career development, with extended hours required during peak seasons. Join a dynamic team making a meaningful impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC DUTIES

Implement client engagements from start to finish (planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects) Prepare tax returns and make recommendations regarding tax savings opportunities Provide bookkeeping & financial statement services for businesses in a variety of industries Proactively interact with clients to gather information, resolve accounting & tax-related issues, and make recommendations for business and process improvements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines Dedication to extraordinary client service Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field Accounting and tax internship experience preferred.
