Process Quality Engineer

Lead the review of risks associated with product defects discovered in the field to determine appropriate action for suspected units in the market. Initiate and assist with containment activities internally and externally to establish product clean points and ensure shipment of certified product to customers. Draft technical bulletins for improvement or corrections to field units. Data Analysis & Failure Investigation Analyze warranty data to detect trends and changing points. Review returned warranty parts to determine failure mode, including disassembly and inspection as required. Host problem-solving sessions with cross-functional teams to determine root cause and implement corrective actions for quality issues. Work with related departments to propose and execute corrective actions for market warranty claims. New Product Introduction (NPI) & Preventive Quality Work collaboratively with Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering during new product introduction to prevent quality issues using APQP tools. Apply PFMEA, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA). Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop error-proof processes that build quality. Technical Leadership & Cross-Functional Support Provide technical guidance and direction to quality control, manufacturing, and other departments as required. Minimum Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude Strong communications skills Strong organizational skills Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little, to no, oversight Preferred Qualifications Previous manufacturing experience Experience with problem solving tools, such as 5-why, Ishikawa/fishbone diagrams, 8D APQP experience Previous knowledge of tractors or other heavy machinery Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering or previous experience in a Quality Engineering role In lieu of a degree, we consider equivalent, job-related experience, military service, professional certifications, and demonstrated skills.
