Senior Product Manager, Project & Task Experience

The Product Management team drives the company's product strategy and execution, translating customer needs and opportunities into a compelling roadmap and working cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions for team productivity and collaboration. We're helping to define the Work Management category and inventing new ways for teams to work more efficiently together and see the larger purpose behind their work. Our team works directly with Engineering, Design, Experience Research, and Data Science, as well as with Sales, Support, and Marketing to ship great products. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the team that enables customers to turn their work into concrete plans. This team owns the core surfaces people rely on to structure, organize, and view their work in the company — including Pages, projects, list views, and My Tasks, among others — spanning both 0 → 1 experiences and deep, high-stakes improvements to workflows that millions of teams use every day. Because these surfaces are foundational to how people work in the company, decisions here ripple across nearly every other team at the company, and this role requires aligning multiple partners around complex, sometimes ambiguous tradeoffs. This role is based in our New York City office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve: Set the strategy for a program or large workstream within our core planning experience, aligned with broader group goals Drive end-to-end delivery of multi-month initiatives — from problem definition through launch — often defining work that lands on other teams' roadmaps and requires coordinating delivery across multiple teams, rather than owning a single piece of a larger initiative Scope tight MVPs and prioritize rigorously, making sound decisions even without perfect information Facilitate complex, multi-team alignment — our surfaces touch nearly every other team at the company, so building consensus and driving cross-functional coordination is central to the role Connect regularly with customers, using those insights to guide strategy, especially around how large and enterprise teams configure and scale their use of the company Mentor other product managers and help raise the bar on product craft across the team About you: Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making 5+ years of Product Management experience, with a track record of driving — not just contributing to — end-user features rather than purely internal or platform-only work Experience shipping multi-month, end-to-end initiatives that require close coordination across multiple teams, including work that puts deliverables on other teams' roadmaps, where you owned the full arc from definition to delivery You understand how large organizations actually get work done — messy structures, competing workflows, teams that need the same feature to serve very different purposes — and you've shaped product decisions around that complexity, not just built controls to manage it Systems thinker: you're comfortable reasoning about how a change in one part of a platform affects adjacent and dependent surfaces, while still caring deeply about the individual, in-the-moment experience for the person using it Strong cross-functional communicator: you can align multiple teams around a hard decision and keep execution moving even when consensus is hard to reach A growth mindset: you seek out feedback, reflect, and actively mentor others Background at a work management company (e.g. Dropbox, Box, Google Workspace, Jira) or a mid-to-large enterprise SaaS company with a complex, specific use case (e.g. ServiceNow, Zendesk) is a plus, but not required At the company, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $202,000 - $230,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
