Description

• Assess a variety of patients across all ages utilizing standardized tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy to improve language use, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing effectiveness.
• Engage as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Educate patients and their families to support progress and communication skills outside the therapy room.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to ensure seamless care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain precise documentation in line with state, federal, and organization standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology with ongoing education and peer engagement.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
