Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using approved assessment tools and observational methods.
- Craft tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate objectives and longer-term needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
- Work in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, medical staff, family members, and caregivers to forge unified care strategies.
- Equip patients and their families with knowledge to sustain progress outside of treatment sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a consistent continuum of care.
- Keep meticulous and up-to-date documentation that aligns with state and organizational standards.
- Continuously enhance your skills through ongoing education and collaborative learning.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
- A valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
- Expertise in evidence-driven approaches applicable across all age groups, with deep knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills tailored for interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Able to modify therapy techniques to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical acumen and problem-solving skills.
