Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using approved assessment tools and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate objectives and longer-term needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Work in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, medical staff, family members, and caregivers to forge unified care strategies.
• Equip patients and their families with knowledge to sustain progress outside of treatment sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a consistent continuum of care.
• Keep meticulous and up-to-date documentation that aligns with state and organizational standards.
• Continuously enhance your skills through ongoing education and collaborative learning.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• A valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
