Customer Account Specialist

Looking for a new opportunity? Our client is searching for a Customer Account Specialist to join their team. The Customer Account Specialist serves as a critical link between customers, sales, and internal operations (Accounting, Supply Chain, Scheduling), ensuring seamless execution of the order-to-delivery process. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, processing orders, coordinating timelines, and proactively communicating updates to maintain strong relationships and high service levels. Work Model: Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days from home What You Will Do: Serve as a positive role model in all interactions and communications Act as a liaison between customers, sales representatives, sales, procurement, management, and manufacturing plants, delivering both professional and timely communication Manage customer order verification, entry, changes, confirmation, expediting, and tracking to create a seamless customer experience Incorporate strategies to ensure profitability across the existing customer base, including inventory optimization, raw material cost control, and support for Engineering Change Notices Foster strong customer relationships, oversee product updates and changes, and partner with Division Managers and Project Engineers Develop a broad understanding of the business through cross-training across divisions and departments Prepare and analyze reports, such as the Customer Aging Order Report, to support decision-making and proactive problem-solving Maintain both electronic and paper documents and files for customer and company information Handle customer requests, including returns, quotations, complaints and samples, consistently providing outstanding customer service Travel occasionally to customer sites and manufacturing facilities to build and maintain engagement and relationships What You Will Need to Be Successful: Detail-Oriented - Catch order discrepancies, pricing issues, and timeline conflicts before they become problems Proactive - Anticipate customer needs, follow up without being asked, and flag risks early Customer-Focused - Naturally driven to provide a positive, reliable experience for the customer Organized - Manage multiple accounts, orders, and deadlines without losing track of priorities Calm Under Pressure - Handle urgent requests, production delays, or escalations with composure Accountable - Take ownership of issues through resolution instead of passing them off Adaptable - Comfortable navigating changing production schedules, priorities, and customer demands Collaborative - Work well across teams (Sales, Production, Planning, IT) to get things done Clear Communicator - Keep messaging direct, accurate, and easy to understand (internally and externally) Benefits Overview: Health, dental, and vision insurance PTO plan 401K Interested and qualified candidates can contact Joye Moore at View phone number on click.appcast.io or email View email address on click.appcast.io.
