Product Support Engineer, LC/MS

Information about Agilent is available at product support engineering role will provide internal and external customers with product support for Agilent Lab Advisor, Lab Assist, QTOF Diagnostics, and TCD Software.This position has responsibilities to accommodate the existing need for Acquisition Software support while accommodating future needs to meet customer diagnostic software expectations.Providing tier 3 technical support, developing/implementing software features and defect resolutions, and creating technical training content.Frequent collaboration with R&D design engineers to establish product requirements.Participate in the design and review of product coding as well as the debugging, validation, and testing of diagnostic software elements.Frequent interaction with marketing, sales, technical support, QA, manufacturing, product development, etc. as well as external customers to ensure that products have necessary features, cost parameters, supportability goals, reliability targets and release schedulesMay be responsible for writing product/process user documentationDeliver technical training to the Agilent technical support teams, such as field service and remote service engineersQualificationsBachelors or equivalent.Experience with analytical scientific instruments is required. LC and/or MS experience required.8+ years of relevant experience required or 5+ years relevant experience with an advanced degree. Software engineering experience in designing and supporting complex software systems Strong background of software engineering principles using C and/or C++, Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and concurrent programming. Fluent in Python and/or other scripting languages.Knowledgeable in web server technology and Rest APIs.Travel: 20% of the time (domestic and international).Additional DetailsThis job has a full time weekly schedule.
