Title: Caregiver Company: Colony Care of Sherman Oaks/Valley Glen (DBA Cottages at the Colony) Reports to: Executive Administrator Location: Sherman Oaks, CA Overtime: DAILY and WEEKLY Overtime pay on 3 shifts

Cottages at the Colony is a leading provider of affordable, boutique-style residential assisted living services in Sherman Oaks and Valley Glen, CA that specializes in offering a coordinated and integrated system of care to high-acuity older adults with multiple chronic illnesses, including Alzheimer’s and other dementia. Cottages at the Colony differentiates itself by providing complex care and medical services coordination in a home-like environment, communicating effectively, and making resident and family satisfaction its top priority.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting residents with their daily living activities and other care needs, as directed by the Executive Administrator and members of the Care Operations team. We seek a self-motivated, compassionate, responsible, and energetic individual to help foster a positive and supportive environment for our residents. The ideal candidate should be flexible and able to adapt to a work environment that requires frequent shifts in direction. Caregivers should have excellent communication skills with an expectation to clearly and timely express resident changes and concerns to the Executive Administrator.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transferring. Assist residents with self-administration of medications. Engage residents with activities. Documentation/communication of resident's activities, ADLs, and changes. Prepare and serve meals according to the menu, with modifications for dietary needs Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Support individuals with dementia Ensure resident confidentiality

QUALIFICATIONS
