Job TitleThis is an ON-SITE positionEssential Job FunctionsGenerate and/or review contours for OAR, PTV, and optimization structures.External beam treatment planning (3D, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT and SRS) using Varian treatment planning systemPresent isodose plan in detail, with OARs and target volume doses, to the Radiation OncologistPresent clear treatment plan instruction for therapistsPerform and review image fusions for CT, PET, and MRITake part in clinical research (documentation, credentialing) and receive continuing education as requiredGeneral Job FunctionsStudy patients' medical historiesDesign computerized isodose treatment plansServe as an assistant to the medical physicist, and follow the lead of the radiation oncologistOngoing teaching and education requirementsMentor junior dosimetristsPhysical Job RequirementsPushing and pulling, taking frequency and weight into consideration.Physical strength to lift heavy objects, carts, or items, taking frequency and weight into consideration.Physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job, taking distance and speed into account.Physical agility, which includes ability to maneuver body while in place.Dexterity of hands and fingers.Balance is maintained during climbing, bending and/or reachingEndurance (e.g. continuous typing, prolonged standing/bending, walking).Education, Certification, Computer and Training RequirementsMust be a graduate of a hospital or college affiliated medical dosimetry programMust have certification as a medical dosimetrist by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board1 - 2 years of experience requiredMust demonstrate proficiency in IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS Gating and brachytherapy.TravelAbility to commute to satellite offices as neededPay Range: $124,100.00 - $155,200.00 AnnualThe provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position.
