In this assignment, there are three openings: two full-time positions and one long-term substitute role (anticipated for the first few months; exact dates to be determined). The assignment begins in early September and continues through early June, providing a consistent and impactful experience throughout the academic year. With a 37.5-hour work week, you’ll work closely with a caseload of 20–40 students—many with intensive needs in a setting 4 classroom—within a single building.
The setting supports students across several educational centers, and you’ll collaborate with caring staff and families to foster student success. Your OT expertise will be valued and you’ll have opportunities to be creative and resourceful while delivering individualized therapy.
Requirements:
- Current OT licensure and credentials for Minnesota schools
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with students in specialized programs, is highly desirable
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt sessions to a dynamic, changing caseload
- Team player mentality and a commitment to supporting student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services tailored to students’ educational needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and allied professionals on IEP development and implementation
- Maintain accurate records and adherence to school policies and timelines
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions to promote independence and learning
