Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Circuit Breaker Technician to configure, test, and maintain high-performance electrical breaker systems to ensure safe and reliable power distribution. This is a fantastic contract-to-hire opportunity to get your foot in the door with a rapidly growing tech company, offering eligibility for a $500 sign-on bonus once hired on permanently! In this role, you will be responsible for setting up breakers to engineering specifications, calibrating protection settings like trip curves and overload protection, reading complex electrical schematics, and conducting thorough functionality testing. Additional duties include troubleshooting system issues, documenting test results, assisting with root cause analysis on electrical incidents, and ensuring full compliance with NEC, OSHA, and IEEE safety standards. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED (an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred) alongside 2+ years of hands-on experience with electrical distribution equipment, a strong grasp of protection systems, and proficiency with breaker configuration tools.
