If you aspire to be the best, and work with the best, this is where you belong. About the Role The Manager – Investment Fund Accounting is an integral part of Latham’s Treasury team. This role will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining accounting records of private investment funds, including general ledgers, partners’ capital, and related financial statements and tax reporting, while confirming accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and fund accounting operations, including capital calls, distributions, cost allocations, monthly reporting packages, and investor capital activity. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Responsibilities & Qualifications Other key responsibilities include:Reviewing subscription documents, including Know Your Customer questionnaires, investor documentation, and related bank or brokerage formsContributing to special projects for Investment Accounting or Treasury teams such as lead investor database implementation or ad-hoc reports on various topics as neededPartnering closely with investment committees, internal teams, and banking or brokerage firms, and communicating with investors and other stakeholders with a strong customer‑service focusDriving the setup of new investment fund vehicles and supporting fund dissolutionsEnsuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of annual fund financial statements, and liaising with auditors on agreed‑upon procedures and auditsEnsuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirementsProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains We’d love to hear from you if you:Possess organizational skills needed to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple deadlinesDemonstrate self‑motivation, strong attention to detail, and accountability for completing assigned tasks while identifying opportunities for process improvementExhibit the ability to develop and train others on alternative investments and capital transactionsAnd have:A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related fieldA minimum of seven (7) years of fund accounting experience, preferably within private equity or alternative investmentsExperience reviewing subscription documents and fund agreements, preferablyA Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, preferably Benefits & Additional Information Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
