Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a shelter location, where you will monitor entry points, screen visitors and residents, and support access control activities while maintaining a visible, professional presence. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Tue 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Wed 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a shelter location. Screen residents, visitors, guests, and/or deliveries entering the location in accordance with site procedures, and report concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate. Respond to incidents, conflicts, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while documenting observations and activities as required. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Minimum Requirements Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Access control and badge experience is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security‑related license is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
