Base pay range $50,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr Customs Entry Writer – Freight Forwarding $55,000 – $70,000 DOE + Full Benefits Package Company: Mid-sized, international freight forwarder with a strong U.S. customs brokerage division and established client base across retail, automotive, and industrial sectors. Role Overview: Seeking a detail-focused Customs Entry Writer with a minimum of 2 years' U.S. freight forwarding experience. You will handle start-to-finish customs entries, ensuring full compliance, speed, and accuracy across diverse commodities. Must be confident working with ISF, HTS classification, PGA regulations, and coordinating with CBP. Key Responsibilities: Process customs entries for air and ocean imports Classify goods using HTS codes in line with CBP regulations File ISFs and manage post-entry processes (protests, PSCs, etc.) Communicate with importers, customs, and carriers Ensure all PGA (FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.) compliance is met Track entries, resolve customs holds, and support release process Use systems including ACE, ABI, and in-house software Required Experience: 2+ years in U.S. customs entry writing (freight forwarding environment) Strong working knowledge of HTS classification and U.S. customs regulations Experience with both air and ocean imports Familiar with PGA filings and entry audits Proficiency in CargoWise or similar system preferred Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Supply Chain Industries Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage and Freight and Package Transportation #J-18808-Ljbffr Altius Talent | Freight Forwarding Recruitment
