Operating Room Registered Nurse

Position available outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift position, Monday to Friday. Scheduled for 8-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with potential for late shifts as needed.

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in ophthalmology to join our team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, primarily in the One Day Surgery Building. This includes preparation for surgery, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during their surgical experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the performance of surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of care.
• Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions pre, intra, and post-operatively.
• Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to all protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety and operational efficiency.
• Participate in on-call duties as assigned, with a required response time of 30 minutes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years minimum experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Current BLS certification from AHA.
• Experience with ophthalmology procedures is preferred.
• Ability to float to other surgical departments as required.
