The Senior Project Manager provides strategic oversight, leadership, and direction in the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex technology projects that support customers' strategic and tactical business objectives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders while leading multiple, high-impact engagements. The Senior Project Manager operates with minimal supervision, demonstrates exceptional leadership and communication skills, and follows Project Management Office (PMO) processes based on Project Management Institute (PMI) and Agile methodologies. This position is responsible for ensuring project success through proactive planning, financial oversight, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and continuous process improvement.


Responsibilities :

Client Partnership & Advisory

• Serve as a customer-facing professional representing KiZAN with energy and professionalism.
• Build lasting relationships with client personnel and act as a trusted partner.
• Communicate effectively with client stakeholders, KiZAN account executives, and internal teams.
• Understand clients' business needs and objectives and help translate them into project requirements
• Identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
• Serve as the executive point of contact for strategic client engagements.
• Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with customer stakeholders.
• Provide strategic guidance and recommendations that align technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Manage client expectations while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
• Continually seek opportunities to expand client relationships and identify additional service opportunities.

Project Delivery & Execution

• Follow PMO processes with minimal supervision.
• Create, execute, and adjust project work plans to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Assign resources, manage schedules, and allocate team responsibilities.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including scope, deliverables, budgets, and time tracking.
• Track team hours and expenses to ensure accurate reporting and billing.
• Resolve or escalate project issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Minimize risk and exposure for KiZAN and clients throughout project lifecycle.
• Ensure quality and adherence to methodology via engagement reviews and documentation.
• Independently lead complex, enterprise-level technology projects with minimal supervision.
• Apply and champion established PMO methodologies and project governance standards.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and communication strategies.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle to ensure clarity and stakeholder alignment.
• Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, profitability, and invoicing support.
• Ensure project teams accurately submit time and expenses on a weekly basis.
• Review project time entries for accuracy and alignment with project budgets.
• Effectively manage changing priorities while maintaining project quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with KiZAN standards, methodologies, and documentation requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase project delivery effectiveness.
• Minimize organizational and client risk through proactive issue identification and mitigation.
• Lead engagement reviews and project health assessments.

Team Leadership & Development

• Motivate project teams to work collaboratively and efficiently.
• Mitigate team conflicts and communication problems.
• Maintain awareness of team workload and performance while fostering accountability.
• Mentor and coach Project Managers and project coordinators.
• Provide leadership across cross-functional technical teams.
• Facilitate collaboration among consultants, engineers, sales, and executive leadership.
• Promote accountability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead difficult conversations and resolve project conflicts professionally and effectively.

Business Development & Financial Performance

• Identify business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to assigned projects.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
• Partner with Account Executives to identify additional consulting opportunities.
• Assist with project estimates, Statements of Work (SOWs), and project planning during the sales cycle.
• Monitor project profitability and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• Support forecasting and resource planning activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO standards and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of progressive project management experience, including leaderership of complex enterprise technology projects
• Ability to manage multiple projects, from single-resource to multi-resource assignments
• Knowledge and experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; able to communicate comfortably with end users and executive management
• Proven ability to manage revenue, utilization, and gross margin performance
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them effectively
• High level of professionalism, accountability, and discretion
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects with cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
• Experience leading customer-facing consulting engagements.
• Exceptional organizational, negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to travel up to 20%, including overnight travel

Preferred skills

• Experience in professional services organizations
• Experience working with software development teams and technical delivery environments
• Familiarity with ALM tools such as Team Foundation Server or equivalent platforms
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring Project Managers.
• Experience leading enterprise Microsoft consulting engagements.
• Portfolio or program management experience.
• Experience working within a Professional Services Organization (PSO).
• Advanced financial and resource planning experience.
