Controller (or Controller-Ready Accounting Leader) Location: Memphis, TN Industry: Industrial We are partnering with a growing industrial distribution company to identify a Controller or high-potential Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager ready to step into a Controller role. This is a hands-on leadership position with strong visibility to ownership and operations. What You’ll Do Own the full-cycle accounting function including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger oversight Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support business decisions Lead cash flow management, AP/AR oversight, and internal controls Partner with leadership on operational and financial strategy, including cost analysis and margin improvement Support audits, tax coordination, and compliance requirements Help build scalable processes as the company continues to grow What We’re Looking For ~5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public + industry or strong industry background) Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments preferred Strong understanding of financial reporting, GAAP, and internal controls Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar a plus) CPA or MBA preferred but not required Accounting Degree Required Someone who is hands-on, business-minded, and ready to step into (or grow into) a Controller role Why This Role Opportunity to step into a Controller seat or fast-track into one High visibility with leadership and real impact on the business Stable, growing company in the industrial industry Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here: The pay transparency policy is available here: For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.
