Director of Accounting

We are seeking a Director of Accounting to lead our growing accounting function across a multi-facility, long-term healthcare organization. Key Responsibilities Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team; set priorities and establish accountability Serve as key liaison between accounting, executive leadership, and operations Financial Reporting & Controls Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across multiple locations Review consolidated financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations per GAAP Oversee intercompany accounting, eliminations, and multi-entity reporting Design and monitor internal controls to ensure data integrity Compliance & Audit Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal and multi-state requirements Operations & Process Improvement Oversee general ledger, accruals, payroll accounting, and day-to-day operations Drive process standardization, automation, and reporting efficiency across facilities Partner with senior leadership on financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; CPA strongly preferred 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role Strong GAAP knowledge and internal control expertise Multi-entity, multi-state accounting experience; long-term healthcare background preferred Sage Intacct or comparable ERP experience preferred Benefits Health Insurance Dental Insurance Disability Insurance Vision Insurance Employee Assistance Program 401(k) Life Insurance Paid Time Off Additional Benefits Telemedicine: $0 co-pay for telemedicine appointments, providing easy access to medical consultations from the comfort of your home.
