Senior Director of Accounting

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a growing organization in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a Senior Director of Accounting to lead key accounting functions, drive process improvements, and develop a high-performing team. This position will partner closely with finance, operations, and technology leaders while contributing to strategic initiatives across the organization.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the accounting team while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls
• Enhance processes, systems, and performance through optimization and automation initiatives
• Partner cross-functionally to support business objectives and strategic initiatives
• Provide financial insights and updates to senior leadership

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional certification preferred
• Significant progressive experience in accounting and financial leadership roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience working with enterprise-level financial systems and technology platforms
• Demonstrated success leading teams and driving operational improvements
• Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced business environment
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance high-level planning and day-to-day execution

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
