Road Supervisor

Essential Job Functions Supervision and Management: Oversee the performance and conduct of drivers and other operational staff, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. Operational Oversight: Monitor daily operations, including driver schedules, route efficiency, and service quality. Address and resolve operational issues in real-time. Safety and Compliance: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including FTA/DOT ADA requirements. Customer Service: Address passenger complaints and concerns promptly and effectively. Promote a positive image of Pace Suburban Bus in all interactions. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to drivers and staff. Foster a culture of continuous improvement. Incident Management: Respond to and manage incidents and emergencies on the road. Prepare and submit detailed incident reports. Drug & Alcohol Process: Participate in the management and enforcement of the Drug & Alcohol testing process, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with dispatchers, schedulers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations. Key Performance Indicators On-Time Performance (OTP): Monitor and strive to improve OTP for all routes. Customer Satisfaction: Measure and enhance passenger satisfaction through effective issue resolution and service quality. Safety Records: Maintain and improve safety standards, measured by the number of incidents and compliance with safety regulations. Staff Development: Track progress in training and development initiatives for drivers and staff, ensuring continuous improvement. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including Drug & Alcohol testing compliance. Road Observations: Complete and submit road observations regularly to assess driver performance and ensure operational standards are met. Qualifications Experience: No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and planning skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently. Willingness to learn and adapt to new software, such as Trapeze, for scheduling and dispatching. Certification: Must have been a Pace certified driver for at least two (2) years. Experience: Previous supervisory or management experience preferred. Skills: Proficiency in Trapeze scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and planning abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Strong problem-solving skills. Commitment to providing excellent customer service. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional coursework in Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus. Additional Requirements: Certification: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL with passenger endorsement preferred. Must maintain Pace certification as a Road Supervisor, including maintaining a valid driver's license and DOT medical card. Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
