About the Role
Seattle Children's is seeking a dedicated and resilient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team. This is an opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, providing critical care to neonates across our expansive regional program.
As a member of our highly specialized team, you will assume direct responsibility for the clinical management of neonatal patients with both acute and chronic conditions. Your role includes:
- Clinical Excellence: Assessment, diagnosis, initiation of treatment, performance of life-saving procedures, and evaluation of outcomes.
- Collaboration: Working in a tiered system (Level II-IV) across seven institutions throughout the Pacific Northwest.
- Professional Growth: Engagement in clinical research, education, consultation, and the evaluation of clinical practice.

Seattle Children's Neonatology Program is consistently ranked among the nation's best by U.S. News & World Report. We provide a comprehensive continuum of care:
- Level IV NICU (Main Campus): A 48-bed state-of-the-art unit equipped for the most complex cases, including ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation), therapeutic hypothermia, and continuous renal replacement therapy. This unit is jointly staffed by neonatologists, fellows, and APPs who share patient responsibilities equally.
- Regional Network: Our team extends its expertise to three Level III NICUs and three Level II NICUs within the community, ensuring high-quality neonatal care is accessible throughout the region.
- Multidisciplinary Support: You will collaborate with 24/7 in-house neonatologists and the only team in the Pacific Northwest with full access to every pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty.

Education & Requirements
For Nurse Practitioners:
Minimum of a master's degree specifically in a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program.
Current NNP Certification is required.
For Physician Assistants:
Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current PA-C Certification is required.
Licensure & Certifications
Washington State Licensure (ARNP or PA-C).
DEA Registration for the State of Washington.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required within 6 months of hire for those rotating through our Level IV NICU.
Compensation Range
$89,293 - $218,876 per year
Note: This position is currently eligible for an off-shift premium of up to 12% which would increase the total compensation for this role by an additional $10,715 to $26,265 per year.
* This position is eligible for relocation for qualified candidates. *
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
