Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a travel assignment in Cornelius, NC. This exciting opportunity involves working in a new unit that will initially open at 50% capacity. The RN will provide specialized care to adult patients with various medical conditions in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - PCU

• Provide high-quality patient care in a medical-based PCU setting
• Administer medications and manage IV drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin
• Conduct general nursing tasks such as IV starts and wound care
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage PCA and kangaroo pumps
• Perform lab draws and handle duties typically assigned to phlebotomy
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RT and hospitalists
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for accurate and efficient documentation

Requirements of the RN - PCU

• Valid RN license with 2 years of PCU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• EPIC experience required
• Comfortable with various nursing skills including tube feeds and cardiac monitoring
• Accepting first-time travelers with more than 5 years of PCU experience
