Quality EngineerDirect HireIndianapolis, INCompensation: Up to $85kPosition Overview:Seeking a Quality Engineer to support customer quality requirements and ensure manufacturing and inspection processes consistently meet customer specifications and industry standards. This is a direct hire opportunity for a detail-oriented quality professional with experience in manufacturing, aerospace quality, first article inspections, dimensional inspection, and continuous improvement.The Quality Engineer will work closely with manufacturing, inspection, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to interpret customer requirements, resolve quality issues, improve processes, and ensure products meet applicable specifications and standards.What You’ll Do as a Quality Engineer:As a Quality Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring customer expectations and quality requirements are met throughout the manufacturing process. This position will be responsible for reviewing technical requirements, developing inspection plans, supporting corrective actions, and coordinating quality documentation with both internal teams and customers.Quality Engineer Duties Include:Reviewing customer purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and technical requirementsCompiling, reviewing, approving, and submitting First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to customersDeveloping Quality and Inspection Plans, including print ballooning and completion of AS9102 documentationReviewing and approving supplier First Article Inspection ReportsAssisting with the development of standard operating procedures and inspection proceduresFacilitating root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actionsInitiating and submitting customer nonconformance reports when requiredSupporting quality training throughout the organizationParticipating on cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements and expectations are metPlanning and scheduling product movement through inspection areasDeveloping gages and inspection methodsSupporting DSQR activities and completing DSQR duties as neededPerforming document control responsibilities as neededSupporting continuous quality improvement initiatives across manufacturing operationsWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred2+ years of practical quality/manufacturing experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with an Associate degree5+ years of manufacturing experience preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer specificationsExperience using precision measurement and inspection equipmentCustomer quality assurance experiencePrevious internal or external audit experienceProven track record of driving continuous quality improvementExperience with database administrationProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilitiesPreferred Quality & Manufacturing Experience:Working knowledge of AS9102Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001Familiarity with RR SABRe, GE S-1000, and P&W ASQR-01Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI/FAIR)Dimensional inspection experienceKnowledge of inspection tools and measurement equipmentExperience with PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process FlowWorking knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsRoot cause analysis and corrective action experienceProject management experience is a plusExperience supporting aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferredPerks & Benefits:Direct hire opportunity with long-term career growth potentialCompetitive compensation based on experienceComprehensive benefits packageMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOpportunity to work with a stable and established manufacturing organizationCareer growth opportunities within a quality-focused manufacturing environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
