This is a full-time salaried position - $40,000 - $50,000 DOE

Job Summary

The primary role of the Assistant Front Office Manager is to assist the Front Office Manager with all duties including supporting Front Desk and Guest Services team members in their success and growth, assisting with all day-to-day hotel operations, improving processes, and ensuring the highest level of customer service and guest satisfaction. 

Job Description

• Assists with scheduling and supervision of all Front Office operations and employees, ensuring accuracy and a high level of service and professionalism
• Ensures all Front Office staff are trained and confident in all operations and procedures, provides thoughtful, and personalized ongoing training
• Understands all hotel policies, departmental standards, emergency controls, and procedures, responds appropriately and assumes supervisory role in any hotel emergency or safety situation as needed
• Identifies and recommends solutions to Front Office team members and Front Office Manager to further employee development, drive revenue, and improve hotel processes
• Acts as a point of reference for guests who need assistance, resolves guest concerns and complaints efficiently and courteously and/or correctly refers issues to upper management 
• Maintains expert knowledge of hotel services, room types, rates, local attractions, upholds AAA Four Diamond standards
• Sets a positive example for coworker and guest relations, empowers team members through feedback, recognition, service, and empathy
• Provides shift coverage as needed, including during high-volume or emergency situations, vacations, illnesses, etc.
• Ensures lobby cleanliness, supply readiness, and well-maintained equipment
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with all hotel departments
• Works to develop and maintain a positive and supportive work culture

Performs and assists with other duties as assigned or needed 

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer-focused industry. Previous hotel experience preferred
• Experience in a leadership or management role preferred
• Passion for people. Comfortable conversing with new people, resolving conflict, desire to help others succeed
• Maintains a high degree of professionalism and integrity at all times
• Strong ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment - time management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Patience, initiative and adaptability
• Problem and risk analysis and a resourceful approach to challenges
• Detail-oriented 
• Competent level of IT proficiency and basic accounting knowledge
• Valid Drivers License, basic driving experience
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights, depending on the operations schedule

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing at front desk, walking, and working on a computer
• Maintain a polished, professional appearance
• Ability to lift, carry and manipulate various items (ex: luggage) weighing up to 50 pounds
