Cardiac Cath Lab RN - 3x12 Shift

Job Description

The Cath Lab provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient procedural services focusing on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and interventions for cardiac patients in the Upstate New York region. With four Cath labs and three Electrophysiology (EP) labs, we treat both adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of conditions, ensuring excellent outcomes and patient satisfaction through collaboration among our skilled RN and CVT staff.

Schedule

Preference for 36 hours per week; shifts available include 4x10 or 3x12 hours (7 AM - 5:30 PM; 7 AM - 7:30 PM) with work on weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post-procedural care for cardiac patients.
• Assist in various cardiac interventions including TAVR, Microclip, Watchmen, and vascular interventions.
• Monitor patients during procedures and provide moderate sedation as necessary.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab.
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
• Moderate sedation training and competency in telemetry.
• RN license valid in New York State.
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support techniques (ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, LVAD).
• Proficient in right and left heart hemodynamics, cardiac interventions, and structural heart procedures.

Nice to Have

• Cardiovascular certification or RCES preferred.
• Familiarity with device and ablation procedures and equipment.
• Experience in the Electrophysiology (EP) lab.
