Director of Operations

Core Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
- 3+ years of experience in a Plant Manager-level role
- Tier One automotive manufacturing experience
Preferred Requirements:
- MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
A automotive manufacturer in the Atlanta market is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee a high-performing operation and guide the business through continued growth and improvement. This role reports to a senior operations executive and is responsible for performance, culture, and customer satisfaction. The position requires a proven operations leader with strong business acumen and the ability to align people, processes, and strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead overall plant performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery, training, compliance, staffing, communication, and program launch readiness
- Manage full P&L accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Build and execute both near-term and long-range business plans that support revenue, margin, and cash flow targets
- Provide clear leadership on operational priorities while working collaboratively with cross-functional partners
- Expand product line performance through customer engagement, volume growth, and new business development
- Ensure annual sales and profitability goals are achieved
- Oversee customer performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
