Senior Specialist, Digital Foundations Lead
Merck
Senior Specialist role supporting manufacturing IT and operational technology infrastructure at a biopharmaceutical company. Responsible for day-to-day management of GMP manufacturing systems, network environments, cybersecurity controls, and infrastructure across multiple technology platforms while ensuring regulatory compliance and system reliability.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for manufacturing IT and OT infrastructure environments
- Support infrastructure hosting manufacturing systems including DeltaV, MES, SCADA, and laboratory platforms
- Monitor infrastructure health, availability, performance, and participate in incident management
- Support industrial and enterprise network environments including architecture and troubleshooting
- Implement cybersecurity controls, assist with firewall management, and support compliance activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 5+ years supporting IT, OT, infrastructure, or manufacturing technology environments
- Strong understanding of industrial networking, TCP/IP, network architecture, and virtualization
- Knowledge of Purdue Architecture and IT/OT convergence principles
- Experience with firewalls, network segmentation, and cybersecurity controls
- Familiarity with SDLC and validated systems in regulated environments
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills with cross-functional communication ability
