Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Employment Law Paralegal for a well-established boutique plaintiff-side employment law firm. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in El Segundo, California. POSITION OVERVIEW: Our client is seeking a Paralegal to support attorneys handling sophisticated plaintiff-side employment litigation, including class action wage and hour matters and individual employment claims. This role provides substantive litigation support throughout all phases of the case, from filing complaints through trial preparation. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and eager to contribute within a collaborative, team-oriented environment. PERKS: This is an hourly, non-exempt opportunity eligible for overtime with compensation ranging from $30.00–$50.00 per hour, DOE Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and incentive compensation Opportunity to work on sophisticated plaintiff-side employment and class action litigation Collaborative boutique firm with a stable leadership team, strong mentorship, and an established paralegal department Primarily onsite position with reasonable flexibility for occasional personal scheduling needs RESPONSIBILITIES: Support attorneys through all phases of employment litigation, including class action and individual employment matters, from case inception through resolution Draft, file, and serve pleadings and other legal documents in California state and federal courts while managing calendaring and litigation deadlines Coordinate depositions, hearings, court appearances, court reporters, and prepare hearing binders and case materials Maintain organized client and case files, provide client updates, conduct legal research, and assist with case management activities Collaborate closely with attorneys and the paralegal team while contributing to a fast-paced, deadline-driven litigation practice Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and opposing parties while delivering exceptional client service QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience; employment law and class action experience are strongly preferred Experience with California state and federal court filings, calendaring, litigation procedures, and case management Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required; candidates with strong litigation experience will be considered regardless of language skills Strong organizational, communication, drafting, and time management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Stable employment history, proactive work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced plaintiff-side litigation environment COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This opportunity offers competitive compensation with flexibility for exceptional candidates, along with health, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, annual discretionary bonuses, quarterly and annual incentive opportunities, and the chance to join a collaborative boutique employment law firm with long-term growth potential.
