- Perform Chromosome analysis and case review on all sample types - bone marrow, blood, prenatal, and tissues.
- Perform Case Review and Case Analysis at the highest productivity level with 100% accuracy.
- Perform wet lab duties including sample set up, harvest, slide dropping, and banding. Tech will perform other wet lab duties as needed.
- Suggest and implement process improvements and contribute to protocol development.
- Demonstrate successful collaboration with others.
- Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and provide guidance and oversee the activities of lower-level personnel.
- Assist in trouble shooting issues in the wet lab.
- Perform other duties as required including wet lab protocols.
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree in biology or related field.
- 1+-year of experience as a Cytogenetics Technologist
- Required:
- Certification/registration as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or certification as a Clinical Lab Specialist in Cytogenetics (NCA).
