Headquarters Baylor Genetics 2450 Holcombe Blvd Houston, TX 77021, USA The Molecular Genetics Technologist II conducts high‑complexity molecular tests in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Perform clinical testing following CAP, NY, and CLIA regulations. Troubleshoot assay performance and maintain laboratory equipment. Conduct quality control (QC) checks and report deviations promptly. Manage laboratory stock levels and replenish supplies. Assist in training new employees as required. Execute other duties as needed. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology. 2+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 0–2+ years relevant experience Preferred MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) Competencies Continuous improvement of knowledge and skills, sharing expertise. Physical Demands and Work Environment Regularly required to sit, stand, use hand and finger dexterity, talk, and utilize visual acuity.
