Respiratory Therapist - $26-35 per hour

Job Title Certified Respiratory Therapist Location Detroit, Michigan – DMC Receiving Hospital Employment Type & Schedule Full Time, 40 hours per week; 8‑hour evening shifts. Job Summary Under the direction of a registered respiratory therapist, the respiratory therapist provides therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures and diagnostic tests for patients with or at risk of cardiopulmonary abnormalities. The role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other health‑care team members to develop optimal care plans and performs patient assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy. Responsibilities Perform patient assessments and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of respiratory therapy. Provide therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures and diagnostic tests for uncomplicated patients with or at risk of cardiopulmonary system abnormalities. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health‑care team members to develop optimal cardiopulmonary care plans. Assist the team with patient care according to established policies and procedures. Qualifications Graduation from an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program (associate degree in Science, Allied Health, or equivalent). Current Certification (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). BCLS certification required. Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
