Regional Consultant (Internal Wholesaler), Independent Broker Dealer (IBD)

Job Overview Brookfield Asset Management is a leading global alternative asset manager with over US$1 trillion of assets under management across real estate, infrastructure, renewable power and transition, private equity and credit. This role is located in NYC and focuses on the Private Wealth team, supporting Independent Broker Dealer (IBD) partners in assigned regions. Responsibilities Partner with the Regional Director (External Wholesaler) to develop and execute business plans. Cultivate and deepen relationships with IBDs through high‑quality, proactive interactions. Handle daily territory management tasks to ensure business efficacy and effective prioritization of resources. Provide exceptional client service, addressing technical, product, and competitive positioning inquiries with expertise and efficiency. Articulate Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions’ sophisticated products. Actively manage and progress the team’s pipeline, meticulously tracking new opportunities; utilize the CRM system to log all client activity. Support major markets and directly manage secondary markets within the region with a client‑centric, sales‑driven approach. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, or as an internal sales associate. Alternative investment experience preferred. Independent Broker Dealer (IBD) channel experience highly preferred. FINRA Series 7 and 63 or 66 license required. CAIA, MBA, CFA or similar designations a plus. Highly proactive and resourceful self‑starter, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a focus on achieving results. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Collaborative mindset, thriving in a team‑focused environment. Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of accountability. Motivated to achieve success and grow with the firm. Travel Position is NYC based with minimal travel required. Compensation Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000. Compensation structure includes a base salary and a short‑term incentive program (cash bonus) that varies by geography and is market competitive.
