About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ICU Overflow)

Atlanta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department overflow area
• Manage and monitor ICU-level patients within the ED overflow setting
• Perform neurological assessments utilizing the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Respond to rapidly changing patient conditions in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Combined ICU and Emergency Department nursing background highly beneficial
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, high-volume hospital environment
