About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency / ICU Overflow

Location

Atlanta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an emergency department overflow area serving ICU-level patients
• Monitor, assess, and manage critically ill patients requiring intensive care support within the ED setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS protocols as clinically indicated

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Background in both Emergency Department and ICU nursing
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care environment
