About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency/ICU Overflow

Location

Atlanta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Emergency Department overflow area serving ICU-level patients
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring intensive nursing interventions
• Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-acuity care in a fast-paced environment
• Respond to rapidly changing patient conditions and prioritize care accordingly

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Dual experience in both ICU and Emergency Department settings
• Comfort working in high-volume, high-acuity hospital environments
