This position is responsible for leading the day to day operations in the field including: safety, quality, productivity, equipment management and subcontractor management. The Superintendent is responsible for the planning and scheduling of activities as well as estimating the cost of activities against project budgets in our Alondra Park Project in Lawndale, CA.Responsibilities Direct day today on-site supervision of field labor forceInspection of Contractor or Subcontractor operations to ensure compliance with contractReview and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Project ManagerMaintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/EngineerDevelop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project ManagerConduct quality inspectionsCoordinate site testing and inspection effortsMonitor costs, including labor time and materialCommunicate and enforce OHL Safety and Health Management ProgramDemonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through personal actions and mentoring othersManage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled datesPrepare and submit Superintendent's Daily ReportsAttend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetingsQualifications 5+ years of Heavy Civil Construction experience4 year Engineering Degree or equivalent work experienceMust be safety oriented; OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 Certification preferredPrevious Caltrans experience strongly preferredFamiliarity with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts, and Purchase OrdersStrong ability to read drawings and specificationsComputer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office productsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExhibits strong leadership qualitiesStrong decision making/problem solving skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsThis list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive exhaustive list and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities at any time.To learn more about OHLA USA, visit our website The base salary being offered for this position is between $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 and annually Please note that the salary range listed is specific to the role listed in Lawndale, California. Salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, and performance.
