Forensic Social Worker: Legal Defense & Mitigation Advocate

The Legal Aid Society seeks a Forensic Social Worker (FSW) in its Bronx office to provide client services within the criminal defense team. The FSW interviews clients and collateral contacts to build life histories highlighting mitigating factors such as trauma, mental health, and substance use. You will develop casework plans with attorneys, assess readiness for treatment, and connect clients with community resources, delivering recommendations for alternatives to detention or incarceration #J-18808-Ljbffr Out Professionals
